RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0117 (Sponsors: Committees on Infrastructure, Public Bidding & Community Development; and on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ALLOCATE FUNDS, OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR THE REHABILITATION/REPAIR OF THE ACCESS ROAD IN THE URBAN POOR RELOCATION SUBDIVISION LOCATED AT PUROK NAZARENO, NAZARETH, BARANGAY BUENAVISTA, THIS CITY, AND TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER TO IMMEDIATELY CONDUCT OCULAR INSPECTION AND PHYSICAL EVALUATION BEFORE UNDERTAKING SUCH ROAD REHABILITATION/REPAIR THEREAT" WHEREAS, the residents of Purok Nazareno, Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City, through its Purok President, Mr. Federico Malinao, by way of a letter addressed to this Honorable Sanggunian, sought assistance for the rehabilitation/repair of the access road going to and from the Urban Poor Relocation Subdivision situated thereat; WHEREAS, the Committee on Finance and Appropriations, to which the foregoing concern was referred for initial consideration, recommended the allocation of appropriate funds out of any available fund sources of the city government for the rehabilitation/repair of the access road provided that the same shall only be undertaken after having been inspected, assessed and subjected to physical evaluation by the City Engineer's Office, which recommendation merited the support and concurrence of the body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to allocate funds, out of any available fund sources of the City Government, for the rehabilitation/repair of the access road in the Urban Poor Relocation Subdivision located at Purok Nazareno, Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, this City. RESOVED, FURTHER, to direct the City Engineer to immediately conduct ocular inspection and physical evaluation of the access road before undertaking such road rehabilitation/repair thereat. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; the City Engineer, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action; and to Mr. Federico Malinao, Purok President, Purok Nazareno, Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, for information and follow-up APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
