RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0116 (Sponsors: Committees on Infrastructure, Public Bidding & Community Development; and on Finance and Appropriations) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ALLOCATE FUNDS, OUT OF ANY AVAILABLE FUND SOURCES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT, FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE DAMAGED FOOT-BRIDGE AT PUROK ROMBLON, BALANGASAN DISTRICT, THIS CITY, AND TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER TO IMMEDIATELY CONDUCT INSPECTION AND PHYSICAL EVALUATION OF THE FACILITY BEFORE UNDERTAKING SUCH RECONSTRUCTION" WHEREAS, the concerned residents of Purok, Romblon, Balangasan District, Pagadian City, through a letter addressed to the Honorable City Vice-Mayor Maphilindo Q. Obaob, sought assistance to this august body for the reconstruction of the damaged Foot-Bridge thereat which is the most practicable access of the residents living in the area; WHEREAS, the Committee on Finance and Appropriations, to which the foregoing concern was referred for initial consideration, recommended for the City Chief Executive to extend financial assistance out of the available fund sources of the city government for the reconstruction of such structure provided that the same shall only be undertaken after having been inspected, assessed and subjected to physical evaluation by the City Engineer's Office to ensure and ascertain the soundness and stability of the structure, which recommendation merited the support and concurrence of the body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to allocate funds, out of any available fund sources of the City Government, for the reconstruction of the damaged foot-bridge at Purok Romblon, Balangasan District, this City. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to direct the City Engineer to immediately conduct ocular inspection and physical evaluation of the facility before undertaking such reconstruction. RESOLVED, FINALLY, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; to the City Engineer, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action; and to Mr. Eduardo Macaso, Purok President, Purok Romblon, Balangasan District, this City, for information and follow-up.
