RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0101 (Sponsor: Committee on Ways and Means) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO COLLECT DOCUMENTARY STAMP TAX (DST) IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTY PESOS (P30.00) FOR EVERY CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN AND TO REMIT THE SAME TO THE BUREAU OF INTERNAL REVENUE (BIR)" WHEREAS, the Honorable City Mayor favorably endorsed to this august body the letter-request of the City Treasurer for legislative authority to collect Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) in the amount of Thirty Pesos (P30.00) for every certificate issued by the City Government and to remit the same to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) pursuant to the mandate imposed under Section 188 of Revenue Memorandum Order No. 13-2008; WHEREAS, this body, following the favorable recommendation of the Committee on Ways and Means-to which the foregoing matter was referred for initial evaluation and consideration-deems it appropriate at this prevailing circumstance to grant the requested authority; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Troy B. Asugas, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the City Treasurer to collect Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) in the amount of Thirty Pesos (P30.00) for every certificate issued by the City Government of Pagadian and to remit the same to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR). RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to Ms. Nona Grace E. Duran, City Treasurer; and to the Honorable City Mayor, for their information, guidance and appropriate action.
