RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0099 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO APPLY, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES (DENR) THROUGH THE LAND MANAGEMENT BUREAU-DENR, REGIONAL OFFICE 9, FOR THE TITLING AND/OR FORESHORE LEASE AGREEMENT OF ALL LOTS/AREAS FRONTING THE SHORELINES OF PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, consistent with the city's desire for an inclusive development progress in pursuit of socio-economic growth, there is a need to improve and develop the city's foreshore areas for industrial and tourism purposes that will help uplift the lives of the underprivileged sector of the city by providing them employment opportunity as well as generate additional income for the city government; WHEREAS, to ensure the fulfilment and pursuance of such plan, and corollary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod (13th City Council) request for the concerned national government agencies to cease and desist from accepting, processing and approving applications by any private individual, whether natural or juridical, for the titling of any and all foreshore lots/areas, including the application for Foreshore Lease Agreement, along the coastal barangays of the city, this body finds it appropriate and in order to grant the Honorable City Mayor with the necessary authority to apply for the titling and/or Foreshore Lease Agreement of said lots/areas for public purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to apply, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) through the Land Management Bureau-DENR, Regional Office 9, for the titling and/or Foreshore Lease Agreement of all lots/areas fronting the shorelines of Pagadian City. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources through the Regional Director, Land Management Bureau - DENR, Regional Office 9, for their information and favorable action; and to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S.
