RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0084 (Sponsor: Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE PROVISION AND ASSIGNMENT OF ADDITIONAL MANPOWER AS WELL AS SERVICE VEHICLE TO THE CITY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, PURPOSELY TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND EFFICACY IN OVERSEEING, ADMINISTERING AND CONTROL OF THE CITY'S ROAD TRAFFIC CONDITION" WHEREAS, in spite of the installation and operation of traffic lights at specific intersections of the city, it can still be observed that the worsening traffic condition of the city which is attributable to the motorist complete disregard of the flow of traffic aside from the huge volume of motor vehicles and the indiscriminate and unregulated parking thereat which have greatly contributed to the city's heavy traffic condition; WHEREAS, in understanding and assessing the situation, this body finds it most urgent and necessary to augment the number of traffic enforcers as well as provide for the assignment of a service vehicle with built-in siren for use during their patrol along the city streets, hence this recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Jesuseller M. Duterte, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to favorably consider the provision and assignment of additional manpower as well as service vehicle to the City Traffic Management Division, Office of the City Mayor, purposely to improve efficiency and efficacy in overseeing, administering and control of the city's road traffic condition. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for information and favorable consideration; and to the Head-City Traffic Management Division, Office of the City Mayor, for information, guidance and follow-up.
