RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0078 (Sponsor: Committee on Commerce, Trade and Industry, Economic Enterprise and Cooperatives) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY LEGAL OFFICER TO EXPEDITE THE PREPARATION AND/OR FORMULATION OF THE NECESSARY CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT TO BE ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN AND THE ACTUAL OCCUPANTS/STALL HOLDERS AT THE INTEGRATED BUS TERMINAL (IBT), PAGADIAN CITY FISH PORT AND AGORA PUBLIC MARKET SO AS TO CONFORM WITH THE REQUIREMENT SET FORTH UNDER THE GOVERNING ORDINANCES ESTABLISHING THE AFORE-SAID FACILITIES" WHEREAS, consistent with its thrust and mandate to provide and deliver basic services to the city's residents, the City Government, for quite some time now, had established and operated vital government facilities such as, but not limited to, the Pagadian City Integrated Bus Terminal, the Pagadian City Fish Port and the Agora Public Market; WHEREAS, following the compulsory review of the operation each facility, it was revealed that there lacks the essential contract between the City Government and the actual occupant/stall holder thereat where the duties and responsibilities of the concerned parties are stipulated which is, accordingly, not in conformity with the governing policies and guidelines of the said government facilities; WHEREAS, premises considered, it is thus necessary to direct the City Legal Officer to prepare and formulate the required contract, hence, requesting the Honorable City Mayor for the purpose is most appropriate at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby requesting the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Legal Officer to expedite the preparation and/or formulation of the necessary contract or agreement to be entered into by and between the City Government of Pagadian and the actual occupants/stall holders at the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT), Pagadian City Fish Port and Agora Public Market so as to conform with the requirement set forth under the governing ordinances establishing the afore-said facilities. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be furnished His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; and the City Legal Officer, for his information, guidance and appropriate action APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
