RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0075 (Sponsor: Committee on Commerce, Trade and Industry, Economic Enterprise and Cooperatives) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO FURTHER SUPPORT THE OPERATION OF THE CITY COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, BY WAY OF PROVIDING AND ASSIGNING ADDITIONAL MANPOWER AND SERVICE VEHICLE PURPOSELY TO IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND EFFICACY IN THE DISCHARGE OF ITS MANDATE" WHEREAS, the City Cooperative Development Division under the Office of the City Administrator is tasked, among others, to promote and encourage the development of all recognized and registered cooperatives existing and operating in the city through continuous monitoring and supervision of their respective activities; WHEREAS, per observation and assessment undertaken by the Committee on Commerce, Trade & Industry, Economic Enterprise & Cooperatives on the organization and functional set-up of the office, the small workforce assigned thereto and the lack of service vehicle hinders its efficiency and effectiveness in pursuing its mandate thus the need to, accordingly, request for additional personnel complement and service vehicle-a recommendation which the body unanimously supports; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to further support the operation of the City Cooperative Development Division, Office of the City Administrator, by way of providing and assigning additional manpower and service vehicle purposely to improve efficiency and efficacy in the discharge of its mandate. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable City Mayor, for favorable consideration; and to Mr. Nestor Mindaros, Supervising Cooperative Development Specialist Officer, City Cooperative Development Division, Office of the City Administrator, for information, guidance and follow-up.
