RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0071 (Sponsor: Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO INITIATE AND UNDERTAKE, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, THE APPLICATION FOR EXCLUSIVE SAND AND GRAVEL EXTRACTION PERMIT/GOVERNMENT GRATUITOUS PERMIT INVOLVING THE THREE POINT FIVE (3.5) HECTARE AREA AT BARANGAY TULANGAN, THIS CITY WITH THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR THROUGH THE PROVINCIAL MINING REGULATORY BOARD" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, upon the assumption to office of this present administration, is now bent to fast track the pursuance and completion of various priority infrastructure projects such as, but not limited to, minor road repair and essential maintenance activities presently undertaken by the Office of the City Engineer; WHEREAS, to ensure the fulfilment of the foregoing undertaking and prevent any further delay on the city's infrastructure development, there is a need for the City Government to have its own sand and gravel extraction project and identified the 3.5-hectare area at Barangay Tulangan, this city, for the purpose; WHEREAS, in relation thereto, the City Chief Executive necessarily has to be authorized to represent the City Government in securing the required permit with the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur through the Provincial Mining Regulatory Board; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to initiate and undertake, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, the application for Exclusive Sand and Gravel Extraction Permit/Government Gratuitous Permit involving the three point five (3.5) hectare area at Barangay Tulangan, this City with the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur through the Provincial Mining Regulatory Board. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, Governor Victor J. Yu; Attn: Mr. Richard S. Ligan, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer, Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, for information and immediate favorable action; and to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S.
