RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0069 (Sponsor: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER THE PROVISION AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMON FRUIT STAND AREA IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN, WITH A FURTHER REQUEST TO DIRECT THE CITY LEGAL OFFICER TO DRAFT AND FORMULATE APPLICABLE ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE" WHEREAS, while this august body expressed concern on the proliferation and upsurge of fresh fruit vendors in different parts of the city, however it views the same as an opportune time for the city government to provide support to the city's fruit industry through the establishment and designation of a common area for display of fruit harvests which can be further developed into an agri-tourism center to attract tourists, local migrants and residents alike; WHEREAS, to ensure the realization of the foregoing project, it is thus necessary to strongly recommend to the Honorable City Mayor to consider the allocation and designation of a suitable area for all fresh fruit vendors with a further direction to the City Legal Officer to formulate the appropriate regulation for the purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to recommend, as this body hereby recommends to the Honorable City Mayor to favorably consider the provision and establishment of a common fruit stand area in the City of Pagadian, with a further request to direct the City Legal Officer to draft and formulate applicable Ordinance for the purpose. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his favorable action; and to the City Legal Officer, Atty. Glenn Eric L.
