RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0064 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Police, Fire and Public Safety and Committee on Youth, Juvenile Delinquency & Drug Abuse Prevention) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CONCERNED CITY GOVERNMENT OFFICES TO COLLABORATE WITH THE PAGADIAN CITY POLICE OFFICE FOR THE STRICT IMPLEMENTATION AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE PROVISIONS OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 40, SERIES OF 1983, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES AFFECTING THE SALES OF INTOXICATING DRINKS AND/OR INTOXICATING BEVERAGES IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN"" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, during its 40th Regular Session held on 03 October 1983, approved City Ordinance No. 40, s. 1983, entitled: "An Ordinance Amending All Other Ordinances Affecting The Sales Of Intoxicating Drinks And/or Intoxicating Beverages In The City Of Pagadian, as amended by City Ordinance No. 101, s. 1992, which, in gist, strictly prohibited all owners, operators, proprietors and/or managers of store, carenderia, establishment, restaurant or hotel, bars or cocktail lounge, night clubs and/or day clubs, dance halls, and cabarets to sell and/or serve intoxicating drink or intoxicating beverages to a customer who is a minor; WHEREAS, in an effort to protect and keep minors from engaging this kind of vice-considering the proliferation of bars and other related establishments now operating in the city due to the city's vibrant economic condition-there is an imperative need to request the strict implementation of the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the concerned city government offices to collaborate with the Pagadian City Police Office for the strict implementation and enforcement of the provisions of City Ordinance No. 40, series of 1983, as amended, entitled: "An Ordinance Amending All Other Ordinances Affecting The Sales Of Intoxicating Drinks And/Or Intoxicating Beverages In The City Of Pagadian." RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; to P/Lt. Col. Alvin P. Saguban, Chief of Police, Pagadian City Police Station; and to all concerned offices, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
