"A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY HEALTH OFFICER AND THE CITY ENGINEER TO ACT ON THE COMPLAINT OF THE SAINT COLUMBAN COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION ON THE ALLEGED UNSANITARY AND UNHYGIENIC CONDITION OF THE ALLEY SITUATED BETWEEN GOV. J. ARIOSA STREET AND GOV. V.M. CERILLES STREET AND, IF NECESSARY, INSTITUTE APPROPRIATE MEASURES TO ABATE THE SAME"

WHEREAS, the Saint Columban College administration, through its President, in a letter sought, among others, the institution of appropriate measures regarding the unsanitary and unhygienic condition of the alley located between Gov. J. Ariosa Street and Gov. V.M. Cerilles Street due to stagnant water coming from waste-water of the neighboring establishments and/or residence thereat;

WHEREAS, the Committees on Police, Fire & Public Safety and on Youth Welfare, Juvenile Delinquency & Drug Abuse Prevention, to which the foregoing matter was initially referred, deem it immediate and necessary to task concerned government agencies to act on the matter taking cognizance of existing and applicable local ordinances and national laws to that effect which recommendation merited the body's unqualified support;

NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Vincenzo E. Cagampang, be it
 
RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Health Officer and the City Engineer to act on the complaint of the Saint Columban College Administration on the alleged unsanitary and unhygienic condition of the alley situated between Gov. J. Ariosa Street and Gov. V.M. Cerilles Street and, if necessary, institute appropriate measures to abate the same.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; to Dr. Noel E. Ceniza, City Health Officer; and to Engr. Gerry D. Nebria, City Engineer, for their information, guidance and appropriate action.
