RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0062 (Sponsor: Committee on Infrastructure, Public Bidding and Community Development) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR TO DIRECT THE CITY ENGINEER TO CLOSELY COORDINATE WITH ALL THE ADJACENT LOT OWNERS OF THE CITY ALLEY SITUATED BETWEEN GOV. J. ARIOSA STREET AND GOV. V.M. CERILLES STREET WITH REFERENCE TO THE LAYOUT AND INSTALLATION OF APPROPRIATE POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC) PIPE FOR USE AS DRAINAGE OF WASTE-WATER FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE RESIDENCE ON THE NORTHSIDE (ALONG THE PROPERTY OF THE PANUNCIALMAN FAMILY) AND IN THE SOUTHSIDE (ALONG THE PROPERTY OF THE DURANO FAMILY) TOWARDS THE CANAL, AND TO INSTITUTE NECESSARY ENGINEERING WORKS TO CORRECT THE PRESENT CONDITION OF THE SAID ALLEY" WHEREAS, the Saint Columban College through its President, Rev. Fr. Rico P. Sayson, JCL, brought to the attention of this august body the lingering concern regarding the foul odor coming from the stagnant waste-water along the alley situated between Gov. J. Ariosa Street and Gov. V.M. Cerilles Street which is accordingly coming from the adjacent establishments and/or residents; WHEREAS, the Committee on Infrastructure, Public Bidding & Community Development, to which the foregoing concern was referred for initial evaluation and consideration, upon ocular inspection, has identified the lack of proper outlet from the concerned establishment and/or residence directly to the canal whereby the waste-water was accumulated at the alley which has now become a catch-basin or cesspool resulting to emit foul odor; WHEREAS, in view of the foregoing information, this body finds it imperatively necessary to direct the City Engineer to coordinate with the concerned lot owners relative to the installation of appropriate PVC Pipe drainage for waste-water from the establishments/residence thereat towards the canal and, to institute necessary engineering works to correct the present condition of the alley and allow the free flow of waste-water directly to the canal, hence this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the City Engineer to closely coordinate with all the adjacent lot owners of the city alley situated between Gov. J. Ariosa Street and Gov. V.M. Cerilles Street with reference to the layout and installation of appropriate Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe for use as drainage of waste-water from their respective residence on the Northside (along the property of the Panuncialman family) and in the Southside (along the property of the Durano family) towards the canal, and to institute necessary engineering works to correct the present condition of the said alley. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential consideration and favorable action; and to Engr. Gerry D.
