RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0056 (Sponsor: Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez) "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO ENTER, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE PHILIPPINE RED CROSS-ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR-PAGADIAN CITY WITH REFERENCE TO THE INTENSIFICATION OF THE ADVOCACY OF VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION, DONOR RECRUITMENT AND ORGANIZATION OF REGULAR MOBILE BLOOD DONATION ACTIVITIES" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian and the Philippine Red Cross have agreed to collaborate to ensure the availability of adequate, accessible and safe blood for transfusion to patients who are residents of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur and Pagadian City through an intensified voluntary blood donation campaign; WHEREAS, to ensure the early and successful realization of the project, there is a need for the formal forging of a Memorandum of Agreement where the duties and responsibilities of the concerned parties have been specified, for which the City Chief Executive requested that he be accorded the necessary authority to sign for and in behalf of the City Government, which request, upon careful perusal and evaluation, merits the support and concurrence of this august body; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Priscilla M. Fernandez, be it RESOLVED to authorize, as this body hereby authorizes the Honorable City Mayor to enter, for and in behalf of the City Government of Pagadian, into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Red Cross-Zamboanga del Sur-Pagadian City with reference to the intensification of the advocacy of voluntary blood donation, donor recruitment and organization of regular mobile blood donation activities. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be transmitted to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his immediate favorable consideration; to the City Legal Officer; and to Philippine Red Cross, Zamboanga del Sur-Pagadian City Chapter through Mr. Luther Q.
