RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0055 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION NOMINATING AND APPOINTING HONORABLE ARNOLD R. GAVENIA AS MEMBER OF THE PEOPLE'S LAW ENFORCEMENT BOARD (PLEB) OF THE CITY OF PAGADIAN REPRESENTING THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD" WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 6975, otherwise known as the "DILG ACT of 1990" and supplemented by the NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2016-002, mandated all Local Government Units to formally organize and/or reconstitute the People's Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) in their respective cities and municipalities purposely to provide venue for ordinary citizen to have redress of grievance against erring police officers; WHEREAS, as provided in the afore-mentioned Act, the concerned Sanggunian shall be represented in the People's Law Enforcement Board (PLEB), such that it is deemed appropriate for this august body to nominate for appointment as member of the Board, Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to nominate and appoint, as this body hereby nominates and appoints Honorable Arnold R. Gavenia as member of the People's Law Enforcement Board (PLEB) of the City of Pagadian representing the Sangguniang Panlungsod. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his consideration and favorable action; and to the City Local Government Operations Officer, DILG, for information and reference. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
