RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0033 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Commerce, Trade and Industry, Economic Enterprise and Cooperatives and Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO CREATE, BY WAY OF AN EXECUTIVE ORDER, THE LOCAL INVESTMENTS AND INCENTIVES BOARD (LIIB) WHICH WILL BE TASKED TO FORMULATE THE IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2015-348, KNOWN AS "THE PAGADIAN CITY LOCAL INVESTMENTS AND INCENTIVES CODE OF 2015"" WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod particularly the 11th City Council, during its 6th Regular Session held on 10 March 2015, adopted City Ordinance No. 2015-348, entitled: "An Ordinance Adopting the Revised Local Investment and Incentives Code of 2015" as a dynamic initiative in stimulating local economic growth and development to increase local capacities, enhance investment climate, promote productivity, generate employment, increase resources that will consequently improve the quality of lives of the locales; WHEREAS, following the recommendation of the concerned Committees, to which the matter was initially referred, the body deems it appropriate to create and organize the Local Investments and Incentives Board pursuant to the provisions thereof, purposely to formulate the required Implementing Rules and Regulations, hence this request; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests Honorable City Mayor Samuel S. Co to create, by way of an Executive Order, the Local Investments and Incentives Board (LIIB) which will be tasked to formulate the Implementing Rules and Regulations of City Ordinance No. 2015-348, known as "The Pagadian City Local Investments and Incentives Code of 2015." RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for favorable consideration; and to other concerned government offices/agencies, for their information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
