RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0032 (Co-Sponsors: Committee on Commerce, Trade and Industry, Economic Enterprise and Cooperatives; Committee on Police Fire and Public Safety; and Committee on Health and Social Services) "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HONORABLE CITY MAYOR SAMUEL S. CO TO DIRECT THE PERMITS AND LICENSING DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, TO CAREFULLY CONSIDER THE PROVISIONS OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2006-253, ENTITLED" "AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE POLICIES AND GUIDELINES FOR THE PROPER UTILIZATION OF THE CITY'S SPORTS COMPLEX," BEFORE THE ISSUANCE OF PERMIT/LICENSE TO ANY INDIVIDUAL WHO WILL ENGAGE BUSINESS ACTIVITIES IN THE SAID FACILITY" WHEREAS, the City Government, by virtue of City Ordinance No. 2006-252, has prescribed the policies and guidelines for the proper utilization of the City's Sports Complex where the supervision and control of such public facility is vested with the Sangguniang Panlungsod; WHEREAS, for quite a time now, it has been observed that several individuals were occupying portion of the sports complex area and, upon initial investigation conducted by the concerned Committees-to which the matter was referred-it was revealed that business permit was issued by the City Permits and Licensing Division for them to engage business activities thereat; WHEREAS, given the foregoing, there is thus a need to call the attention of the Permits and Licensing Division with an advice to strictly observe and comply with the provisions and requirements set under City Ordinance No. 2006-252; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby requests the Honorable City Mayor to direct the Permits and Licensing Division, Office of the City Mayor, to carefully consider the provisions of City Ordinance No. 2006-253, entitled: "An Ordinance Setting the Policies and Guidelines Governing the Use of the Pagadian City Sports Complex," before the issuance of permit/license to any individual who will engage business activities in the said facility. RESOLVED FURTHER, to let copies of this Resolution be forwarded to His Honor, City Mayor Samuel S. Co, for his preferential attention and favorable action, the Chief, Permits and Licenses Division, CMO, for information, guidance and/or appropriate action. APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
