RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0025 (Sponsor: Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy) "A RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING HONORABLE TEODORO L. LOCSIN, JR., SECRETARY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS, TO FAVORABLY CONSIDER ESTABLISHING A REGIONAL CONSULAR OFFICE IN PAGADIAN CITY" WHEREAS, the City Government, consistent with the thrust of this present administration, is bent to provide essential services particularly on the matter of processing and issuance of passports right in the City of Pagadian for the benefit and welfare of the city's residents as well as the people from neighboring provinces and municipalities; WHEREAS, to attain this long desire, the City Government of Pagadian, being the Regional Center for Western Mindanao, manifests its interest to host a Consular Office, in such a way it will alleviate the burden of the local residents from traveling to either Zamboanga City or Cagayan de Oro City where, at present, DFA consular office is situated; WHEREAS, along with this manifestation is the City Government's sincere assurance that a suitable office space area may be made available for the purpose free of charge; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Teodoro M. Quicoy, be it RESOLVED to request, as this body hereby earnestly requests the Honorable Secretary of Foreign Affairs to favorably consider establishing a Regional Consular Office in Pagadian City. RESOLVED, FURTHER, to assure Honorable Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. that the City Government of Pagadian will ensure the provision of a suitable office space/area free of charge. RESOLVED, FURTHERMORE, that this Resolution be forwarded to Honorable Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr., Secretary of Foreign Affairs, 2330 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, Metro Manila, for information and favorable consideration; and to Honorable City Mayor Samuel S.
