RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0018 (Sponsor: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION JOINTLY REFERRING TO THE COMMITTEE ON INFRASTRUCTURE, PUBLIC BIDDING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; COMMITTEE ON PLANNING AND LANDED ESTATES; AND COMMITTEE ON HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES THE MATTER CONCERNING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF GARBAGE COLLECTION IN EVERY BARANGAY OF THE CITY VIS-A-VIS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EXISTING CITY ORDINANCES IN RELATION TO R.A. 9003 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE "ECOLOGICAL SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT ACT OF 2000"" WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian, consistent with the provisions of R.A. 9003, otherwise known as Ecological Solid Waste Management Act, has adopted and implemented City Ordinance No. 2016-365 which, in gist, adopted an updated comprehensive Solid Waste Management Ordinance in the City of Pagadian; WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the foregoing Ordinance, all Barangay Government of the City of Pagadian were mandated to strictly adhere and implement the provisions thereat particularly the collection of garbage under the "No Segregation, No Collection" policy; WHEREAS, for this purpose, it is just but essential to commission the concerned Committees to oversee and monitor all Barangay Government Units' in order to ensure strict compliance and proper observance of the foregoing provisions; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to jointly refer, as this body hereby jointly refers to the Committee on Infrastructure, Public Bidding and Community Development; Committee on Planning and Landed Estates; and Committee on Health and Social Services the matter concerning the implementation of garbage collection in every barangay of the City vis-a-vis the implementation of existing City Ordinances in relation to R.A. 9003 otherwise known as the "Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000."
