RESOLUTION NO. 2019-0015 (Sponsor: Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron) "A RESOLUTION JOINTLY REFERRING TO THE COMMITTEE ON LAWS, RULES AND POLICY FORMULATION AND COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC UTILITIES, TRANSPORTATION, COMMUNICATIONS AND FRANCHISING THE CONCERN ON THE UNRESTRICTED PRACTICE OF DELIVERY/CARGO TRUCKS TO LOAD AND UNLOAD GOODS AT THE CITY PROPER DURING DAYTIME AND, FOR THE SAID COMMITTEES TO REVIEW AND STUDY ALL EXISTING ORDINANCES AND/OR RESOLUTIONS GOVERNING THE LOADING AND UNLOADING OF GOODS" WHEREAS, as can be observed, the unrestricted practice of delivery/cargo trucks to load and unload their goods at any time of the day has greatly contributed to the traffic congestion along the major thoroughfares of the city; WHEREAS, it is thus necessary for this august body through appropriate Committees to initiate the study and review of all existing ordinances and/or resolutions relative thereto and come up with appropriate corrective measures; NOW, THEREFORE, on seconded motion of Honorable Fernando Y. Pameron, be it RESOLVED to jointly refer, as this body hereby jointly refers the matter of enforcing existing ordinances/resolutions, which prohibits delivery trucks to load and unload goods within the city proper during daytime, to the Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation and Committee on Public Utilities, Transportation, Communications and Franchising.
