"AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE OF PORTION OF DABLO STREET FROM CORNER GOV. VICENTE CERILLES STREET (FORMERLY ALANO STREET) AND MACAUMBANG STREET EVERY 2:00 O'CLOCK IN THE AFTERNOON UP TO 12:00 MIDNIGHT FROM FEBRUARY 15, 2026 UP TO MARCH 21, 2026, IN CONNECTION WITH THE CELEBRATION OF THE 1ST PAGADIYAN RAMADAN FOOD FESTIVAL AND 4TH SUMMIT INTERNATIONAL QUR'AN READING WITH ISLAMIC SYMPOSIUM IN OBSERVANCE OF THE 2026 RAMADAN"
WHEREAS, the organizers of the 1st PAgaDiyAN Ramadan Food Festival and the 4th Summit International Qur'an Reading with Islamic Symposium, in observance of Ramadan 2026, have formally requested the City Government to authorize the temporary closure of a portion of Dablo Street, specifically from the corner of Gov. Vicente Cerilles Street (formerly Alano Street) to Macaumbang Street, in order to ensure the safety and convenience of the public and to promote cultural understanding, religious harmony, and a peaceful and orderly environment for residents, participants, and visitors who will take part in said activities;
WHEREAS, this Body, in consideration of Section 21 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, which provides that a Local Government Unit may, pursuant to an ordinance, permanently or temporarily close or open any local road, alley, park, or square falling within its jurisdiction, deems it imperative to declare the temporary closure of the afore-mentioned portion of the road to vehicular traffic for the duration of the said activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (15th City Council) of Pagadian City in session assembled that:
Section 1. Temporary Road Closure. - A portion of Dablo Street, from the corner of Gov. Vicente Cerilles Street (formerly Alano Street) to Macaumbang Street, is hereby approved for temporary closure to vehicular traffic from 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon until 12:00 midnight.
Section 2. Specific Period. - The period for the temporary closure of the above-mentioned street portion shall be in effect from February 15, 2026 to March 21, 2026, daily from 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon until 12:00 Midnight.
Section 3. Transitory Provision. - It shall be understood that the temporary closure shall automatically be lifted on March 22, 2026 and the above-mentioned road shall be open to all vehicular traffic.
Section 4. Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
