P. L. URRO STREET AS WELL AS THE SIDEWALK AND PARKING AREA OF A PORTION OF P. L. URRO STREET (PARTICULARLY FRONTING THE SAN JOSE PARISH CHURCH) FROM THE CORNERS OF B. AQUINO STREET AND F. S. PAJARES AVENUE, FOR A SPECIFIC PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 1, 2025 TO JANUARY 18, 2026, IN CONNECTION WITH THE CITY'S CELEBRATION OF THE "PASKUHAN 2025" AND THE FORTHCOMING "PASALAMAT FESTIVAL 2026"

WHEREAS, the City Government of Pagadian is once again celebrating the Christmas Season dubbed as "Pagpalapnag sa KaaCOhan sa Katawhan, Duyog sa mas maAsensohong KapasCOhan," as well as the forthcoming City Parochial Fiesta come January 18, 2026;

WHEREAS, in order to make these celebrations more festive and truly memorable events, the City Government has included various nightly activities and Food Street within the immediate vicinity of Plaza Luz as among the activities during the said occasions, such that the temporary closure of the western lane of F.S. Pajares Avenue from the corners of P.L. Urro Street and V. Sagun Street as well as the sidewalk and parking area of a portion of P.L. Urro Street from the corners of B. Aquino Street and F.S. Pajares Avenue is being sought;

WHEREAS, this body, in consideration of Section 21 of the Local Government Code of 1991 which provides that the Local Government Unit may, pursuant to an Ordinance, permanently or temporarily close or open any local road, alley, park, or square falling within its jurisdiction, deems it imperative to declare the temporary closure of the afore-mentioned streets and sidewalks;

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (15th City Council) of Pagadian City in session assembled that:

Section 1. Temporary Road Closure.  - The portion of the Western Lane of F.S. Pajares Avenue from the corners V. Sagun Street and P. L. Urro Street and the sidewalk and parking area of a portion of P. L. Urro Street (particularly fronting the San Jose Parish Church) from the corners of B. Aquino Street and F. S. Pajares Avenue.

Section 2. Specific Period. - The period for the temporary closure of the above-mentioned street portions shall be from December 01, 2025 up to January 18, 2026.
Section 3. Transitory Provision. - It shall be understood that the temporary closure shall automatically be lifted on January 19, 2026 and the above-mentioned road shall be open to all vehicular traffic.
Section 4. Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.



ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (15th City Council) during its 18th Regular Session held on 26 November 2025 at the SP Session Hall, 4th Floor City Commercial Center Building, Santiago District, Pagadian City.
