CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2025-605 (Sponsored by: Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo) "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC OF GOV. VICENTE M. CERILLES STREET HALF LANE (ONE WAY) SPECIFICALLY FRONTING SAINT COLUMBAN COLLEGE FROM CORNERS SANSON STREET AND V. SAGUN STREET, FOR THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 28, 2025 UP TO MAY 01, 2025, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SAINT COLUMBAN COLLEGE-COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION ACTIVITY KNOWN AS "TABO 2025" WHEREAS, the City Government, in consideration of the request of the Saint Columban College-College of Business Education for the temporary closure of the portion of Gov. Vicente M. Cerilles Street (half-lane) particularly fronting the said school from corners of Sanson Street and V. Sagun Street, from April 28, 2025 up to May 01, 2025, in connection with the school's holding of an annual entrepreneurial event dubbed as "Tabo 2025," recognizes the need to ensure the safety of the students and facilitate the smooth conduct of the said activity; WHEREAS, this body, in consideration of Section 21 of the Local Government Code of 1991 which provides that the Local Government Unit may, pursuant to an Ordinance, permanently or temporarily close or open any local road, alley, park, or square falling within its jurisdiction, deems it imperative to declare the temporary closure of the afore-mentioned streets to vehicular traffic; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council) of Pagadian City in session assembled that: Section 1. Temporary Road Closure. - Along Gov. Vicente M. Cerilles Street half lane (one way) specifically fronting Saint Columban College from corners Sanson Street and V. Sagun Street. Section 2. Specific Period. - The period for the temporary closure of the above-mentioned street portions shall be from April 28, 2025 up to May 01, 2025. Section 3. Transitory Provision. - It shall be understood that the temporary closure shall automatically be lifted after the scheduled activities and the above-mentioned road shall be open to all vehicular traffic. Section 4. Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
