Bajamunde, Jr.) "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ADJUSTMENT/INCREASE IN THE DAILY MINIMUM WAGE RATE OF CASUAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN PARTICULARLY THOSE CHARGED TO LUMP SUM AND SAVINGS INCLUDING THOSE WORKERS WHOSE SERVICES ARE ENGAGED THROUGH JOB ORDER TO THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE (P381.00) PESOS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFORE" WHEREAS, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula is mandated under Republic Act No. 6727, otherwise known as The Wage Rationalization Act to periodically assess wage rates and conduct continuing studies in the determination of the minimum wage applicable in the region or industry; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula issued Wage Order No. RIX-22 which took effect on November 12, 2023, provides for a minimum wage increase of P30.00 per day for Non-Agricultural Enterprises and Retail/Service; WHEREAS, given the foregoing, it is deemed essential to implement such Order at least commensurate to the services rendered by the Casual/Job Order Employees charged to Lump Sum and Savings of the City Government of Pagadian; NOW, THEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council) of Pagadian in session assembled that: SECTION 1. -Title. - This Ordinance shall be known as "An Ordinance Approving The Adjustment/Increase In The Daily Minimum Wage Rate Of Casual Employees Of The City Government Of Pagadian Particularly Those Charged To Lump Sum and Savings Including Those Workers Whose Services Are Engaged Through Job Order to Three Hundred Eighty-One (P381.00) Pesos, And Appropriating Funds Therefore." SECTION 2. - Implementation of Wage Order No. RIX-22 Issued by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula. - Effective immediately, there shall be an adjustment/increase in the daily minimum wage of casual employees charged to lump sum and salary savings including job order employees of the City Government of Pagadian to Three Hundred Eighty-One (P381.00) Pesos pursuant to Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula Wage Order No. RIX-22. SECTION 3. - Fund Allocation. - The funding for the adjustment/increase shall be sourced out from available savings out of the vacant but funded positions. SECTION 4. - Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
