ORDINANCE NO: 2023-528 (Sponsored by: Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo) "AN ORDINANCE RECALLING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2023-528, ENTITLED: AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ADJUSTMENT/INCREASE IN THE DAILY MINIMUM WAGE OF CASUAL EMPLOYEES CHARGED TO SAVINGS OR JOB ORDER EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN TO THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE (P351.00) PESOS, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 03, 2023 AND APPROPRIATINGS FUNDS THEREFORE" WHEREAS, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula issued Wage Order No. RIX-21 which provides for a minimum wage increase of P35.00 per day for Non-Agricultural Enterprises within the Zamboanga Peninsula Region; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council), during its 20th Regular Session held on January 04, 2023, enacted City Ordinance No. 2023-525, entitled: "An Ordinance Approving The Adjustment/Increase In The Daily Minimum Wage Of Casual Employees Charged To Savings Or Job Order Employees Of The City Government Of Pagadian To Three Hundred Fifty-One (P351.00) Pesos, Effective January 03, 2023 And Appropriating Funds Therefore;" WHEREAS, while the City Government of Pagadian is determined to implement such Wage Order, however-after careful perusal and evaluation by the concerned offices within the Executive Department-there finds the need to temporarily withhold the implementation of same to allow the conduct of a thorough study to thresh out any legal impediment, hence, recalling City Ordinance No. 2023-525 is necessary at this prevailing circumstance; NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council) of Pagadian in session assembled that: SECTION 1. - City Ordinance No. 2023-525, entitled: "An Ordinance Approving The Adjustment/Increase In The Daily Minimum Wage Of Casual Employees Charged To Savings Or Job Order Employees Of The City Government Of Pagadian To Three Hundred Fifty-One (P351.00) Pesos, Effective January 03, 2023 And Appropriating Funds Therefore," is hereby recalled and/or rescinded. SECTION 2. - Effectivity Clause. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council) during its 25th Regular Session on 15 February 2023 at the SP Session Hall, 4th Floor City Commercial Center (C3), Santiago District, Pagadian City.
