ORDINANCE NO: 2023-525 (Sponsored by: Honorable Ann Marjorie N. Revelo) "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ADJUSTMENT/INCREASE IN THE DAILY MINIMUM WAGE OF CASUAL EMPLOYEES CHARGED TO SAVINGS OR JOB ORDER EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN TO THREE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE (P351.00) PESOS, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 03, 2023 AND APPROPRIATINGS FUNDS THEREFORE" WHEREAS, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula is mandated under Republic Act No. 6727, otherwise known as The Wage Rationalization Act to periodically assess wage rates and conduct continuing studies in the determination of the minimum wage applicable in the region or industry; WHEREAS, in view thereof, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula issued Wage Order No. RIX-21 which provides for a minimum wage increase of P35.00 per day for Non-Agricultural Enterprises; WHEREAS, given the foregoing, it is deemed essential to implement such Order to at least commensurate the services rendered by the Casual/Job Order Employees charged to Savings of the City of Pagadian; NOW, THEREFORE, in view of the forgoing, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (14th City Council) of Pagadian in session assembled that: SECTION 1. -Title. - This Ordinance shall be known as "An Ordinance Approving The Adjustment/Increase Of The Daily Minimum Wage Of Casual Employees Charged To Savings Or Job Order Employees Of The City Government Of Pagadian To Three Hundred Fifty-One (P351.00) Pesos, Effective January 03, 2023 And Appropriating Funds Therefore." SECTION 2. - Implementation of Wage Order No. RIX-21 Issued by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula. - Effective January 03, 2023, there shall be an adjustment/increase in the daily minimum wage of casual employees charged to salary savings or job order employees of the City Government of Pagadian in the amount of Thirty-Five Pesos (P35.00) pursuant to Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board-Zamboanga Peninsula Wage Order No. RIX-21. SECTION 3. - Fund Allocation. - The funding for the adjustment/increase shall be sourced out from available savings out of the vacant but funded positions. SECTION 4. - Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
