Co "AN ORDINANCE OFFICIALLY NAMING THE SHOAL LOCATED WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL WATERS OF PAGADIAN CITY AS "PAGADIAN LALAS SHOAL" WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Pagadian to protect and preserve its natural heritage sites, particularly its waters with regard to their economical and historical importance; WHEREAS, at present there are several protected areas in the City of Pagadian with existing locations that are still not yet familiar to visitors and even the constituents nearby; WHEREAS, the act of officially naming the shoal located at Lalas will serve as a guiding mechanism, for its protection, rightful use and enjoyment, consistent with the principles of sustainable development and the right of the people to a balanced and healthful ecology; NOW, THEREFORE, premises considered by the powers vested in the Sangguniang Panlungsod under Section 13, Book I of the R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991; Be it Ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in Session Assembled that: SECTION 1. - That the shoal situated at Lalas, this City, shall henceforth be named and officially referred to as the "Pagadian Lalas Shoal." SECTION 2. - For this purpose, the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian is hereby mandated to duly inform and provide the Office the President through the Executive Secretary, the National Historical Institute of the Philippines, and the Philippine Postal Corporation, among others, with copies of this Ordinance for their information and reference.
