Co "AN ORDINANCE OFFICIALLY NAMING THE ESTABLISHED LECHON INDUSTRY AT BARANGAY SAN PEDRO, THIS CITY, AS "LECHONAN SA PAGADIAN" AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FIFTY THOUSAND (P50,000.00) PESOS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ESTABLISHMENT AND INSTALLATION OF MARKERS" WHEREAS, consistent with this present administration's declared policy to provide and establish public facilities that shall promote local food industries with the end in view of ascertaining the safety and protection of food vendors, in particular, and the consuming public, in general--the City Government has effected the construction and establishment of a facility for the benefit of the local lechon industry of the city; WHEREAS, for this purpose, it is thus cogently necessary to name this particular food industry as a semblance of the city's trademark of its best lechon delicacy purposely to attract and/or entice local residents as well as tourist-both local and foreign-alike; NOW, THEREFORE, premises considered by the powers vested in the Sangguniang Panlungsod under Section 13, Book I of the R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991; Be it Ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in Session Assembled that: SECTION 1. - The established Lechon Industry at Barangay San Pedro, this city, shall henceforth be named and officially referred to as the "Lechonan sa Pagadian;" SECTION 2. - For this purpose, the Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian is hereby mandated to duly inform and provide the Office the President through the Executive Secretary, the National Historical Institute and the Philippine Postal Corporation, among others, with copies of this Ordinance for their information and reference. SECTION 3. - There shall be allocated the sum of Fifty Thousand (P50,000.00) Pesos from appropriate sources in the General Fund for purposes of construction, establishing and installing of markers.
