ORDINANCE NO: 2020-455 (Sponsor: Committee on Finance & Appropriations) "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE CO-TERMINUS POSITIONS OF THREE (3) EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT II, SALARY GRADE 17, AND ONE (1) EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT III, SALARY GRADE 20, UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, DEFINING ITS DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR" Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (13th City Council) of Pagadian City in session assembled that: SECTION 1. - Creation. There is hereby created under the Administrative Division in the Office of the City Mayor the positions of three (3) Executive Assistant II, Salary Grade 17, and one (1) Executive Assistant III, Salary Grade 20. SECTION 2. - Positions' Classification and Tenure of Office. The above-created positions shall be classified as primarily confidential in nature and the appointee thereto shall be co-terminus with the appointing authority. SECTION 3. - Functions, Duties and Responsibilities. The positions shall be invested with the following primary functions, duties and responsibilities, viz: Performs variety of administrative and technical research in reaching or implementing substantive decisions; Performs a research in specialized phases of such fields as economics, finance and law enforcement; Assists in the implementation of cultural and educational projects and makes studies of specific projects in these fields; and Does other related work as required. SECTION 4. - Qualifications. The basic requirements on education, work experience, training and eligibility for the herein created positions shall be in accordance with the applicable policies, guidelines, rules and regulations of the Civil Service Commission pertinent thereto. SECTION 5. - Fund Allocation. To initially enforce this ordinance, funding for the salaries and other benefits of the above-mentioned positions from October 01, 2020 to December 31, 2020 shall be sourced out from any available savings on Personal Services in the Office of the City Mayor. The succeeding years' appropriations shall then be correspondingly provided for under the budget of the said Office. SECTION 6. - Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
