ORDINANCE NO: 2020-451 (Sponsored by: Committee on Finance and Appropriation) "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF PRIVATE SECRETARY II (PRIMARILY CONFIDENTIAL IN NATURE), SALARY GRADE 15, UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION, OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR; DEFINING THE FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION; AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREOF" Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (13th City Council) of Pagadian City in session assembled that: SECTION 1. - Creation. There is hereby created under the Administrative Division in the Office of the City Mayor the position of Private Secretary II, Salary Grade 15. SECTION 2. - Positions' Classification and Tenure of Office. The above-created position shall be classified as primarily confidential in nature and the appointee thereto shall be co-terminus with the appointing authority. SECTION 3. - Functions, Duties and Responsibilities. The position shall be invested with the following primary functions, duties and responsibilities, viz: Coordinates with the City Engineer in identifying the site for the proposed City Tertiary School; Assists in the inspection of the buildings to be utilized temporarily as Tertiary Institution; Follows up at the Office of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-Regional Director concerning the requisites of the proposed creation of the Tertiary School; Confers with the CHED-Regional Office's Technical Team from time to time; and Does other related work as mandated. SECTION 4. - Qualifications. As basis in the appointment of personnel, the basic requirements on education, work experience, training and eligibility for the herein created position shall be determined with reference to the existing Position Classification and Pay Plan of the Civil Service Commission. SECTION 5. - Fund Allocation. To initially enforce this ordinance, funding for the salaries and other benefits of the above-mentioned position from September 01, 2020 to December 31, 2020 shall be sourced out from any available savings on Personal Services in the Office of the City Mayor. The succeeding years' appropriations shall then be incorporated in the annual budget of the Office of the City Mayor. SECTION 6. - Effectivity. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
