Ariosa "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BY ADDITION SECTION 20 OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2020-442, ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL AND ELIMINATION OF HUMAN AND ANIMAL RABIES, PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR"" Be It Ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (13th City Council) in Session Assembled that: SECTION 1. Section 20 of City Ordinance No. 2008-268, Penalty Clause, is hereby amended by incorporating the herein additional prohibition, to read as follows, to wit: "SECTION 20. PENALTY CLAUSE - Violation on any of the provision of this code shall be meted the following: X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X Any person who shall adopt an impounded dog pursuant to Item No. 2 of Section 17 hereof, shall, prior to its release, be charged with the amount of Five Hundred (P500.00) Pesos, provided all necessary requirements stipulated under Republic Act No. 8485, otherwise known as the "Animal Welfare Act of 1991," is duly complied with. X X X X X X X X X X X X" SECTION 2. Repealing Clause. - Any resolution, ordinance or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed or amended accordingly. SECTION 3. Effectivity. - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
