ORDINANCE NO: 2018-417 (Sponsor: Committee on Ways & Means) WHEREAS, information provided by the Office of the City Assessor disclosed that their part of the work for City Ordinance No. 2018-417 entitled: "An Ordinance Prescribing The Revised Schedule Of Market Values, The Assessment Levels And The Classification Of Real Properties Situated In The City Of Pagadian For Use During The 2018 General Revision Of Real Property Assessment Pursuant To Sections 212 And 219 Of R.A. 7160 And For Use In Assessment And Reassessment Of Real Property Units And For Other Purposes" has not been completed thus its projected implementation on January 1, 2019 may not be made possible despite their best effort; WHEREAS, to date, their accomplishments is only 50% for the revision of all assessment records of the 54 districts and barangay comprising a total number of 71, 893 real property units which accordingly are being subjected to actual inspections and verification thus further delaying their work; WHEREAS, bottleneck is further encountered with the application of the office's new data computerized programs which the staff have to carefully work on to establish an accurate database; WHEREAS, under this circumstance, there is a need to fix the implementation of the ordinance at a more realistic schedule; NOW THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled resolves to adopt the herein ordinance. "AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE IMPLEMENTATION DATE OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2018-399, "AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE REVISED SCHEDULE OF MARKET VALUES, THE ASSESSMENT LEVELS AND THE CLASSIFICATION OF REAL PROPERTIES SITUATED IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN FOR USE DURING THE 2018 GENERAL REVISION OF REAL PROPERTY ASSESSMENT PURSUANT TO SECTIONS 212 AND 219 OF R.A. 7160 AND FOR USE IN ASSESSMENT AND REASSESSMENT OF REAL PROPERTY UNITS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES" TO JANUARY 1, 2020" Section 1. For the purposes of implementation, City Ordinance No. 2018-399 shall take effect on January 1, 2020. Section 2. Repealing Clause. All ordinances or provisions thereof that are contrary to or inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. Section 3. Separability Clause. If any part of provision of this Ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid, the same shall not affect the validity and effectivity of the other parts or provisions thereof.
