ORDINANCE NO: 2017-373 Sponsor: (Committee on Laws, Rules and Policy Formulation; Committee on Police Fire and Public Safety; and Committee on Barangay Affairs) "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5I.01, FEES AND CHARGES, UNDER ARTICLE I. INTEGRATED BUS TERMINAL: FEES AND CHARGES, OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2009-279, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "THE REVISED PAGADIAN CITY REVENUE CODE OF 2008" WHEREAS, the transportation services are vital to the growth of a community, through bolstered economic activities and the opportunity for employment available to the people; WHEREAS, these transportation services also provide the necessary operations to ensure the convenience of the individuals in going to and from their respective destinations; WHEREAS, the City of Pagadian has established an Integrated Bus Terminal facility in its pursuit of providing residents as well as tourists, travelers and bus operators and their employees the needed comfort and convenience while travelling; WHEREAS, due to the passage of time, the council sees the need to improve the said Integrated Bus Terminal to conform to the present needs of modern travelers and to add to the presently enjoyed convenience by travelers and bus operators; WHEREAS, the fees and charges currently levied are deemed outdated and not insufficient to the current cost of service delivery and the planned improvements thus the need to adjust the referred rates of charges if the city government desires pursue the kind of development which the members of the council have in mind; WHEREAS, the fees and charges referred to in this ordinance constitute among others, the rentals of the stalls and establishments located therein, parking fees of the vehicles, and the charges imposed upon the vendors. NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (12th City Council) in session assembled that: Section 1. - Section 5I.01, Fees and Charges of Article I - Integrated Bus terminal: Fees and Charges under City Ordinance No. 2009-279, otherwise known as "The Revised Pagadian City Revenue Code of 2008" is hereby amended as follows: "Section 5I.01 - The following assessments shall be collected for the use of the facilities and amenities of the Integrated Bus Terminal, City Economic Department, to wit: Parking fees based on the hereunder prescribed rates are to be collected from all public utility vehicles before departure: 1.1 All Public Utility Vehicles/Buses P 50.00 per departure 1.2 All Passenger Vans 30.00 per departure 1.3 Jeepney/Multicab (Plying Dumalinao- Labangan-Tukuran Route) 30.00 per departure 1.4 Multicab (balik-balik plying downtown to IBT) 5.00 per departure 1.5 Tricycles 5.00 per departure Stall Rentals: 2.1 Stall No. 1-20 P 2,500.00 per month/per stall 2.2 Stall No. 21 4,500.00 per month/per stall 2.3 Stall No. 22 3,500.00 per month/per stall 2.4 Stall No. 24 4,600.00 per month/per stall 2.5 Stall No. 28 4,500.00 per month/per stall 2.6 Stall No. 29 (Rural Transit Office) 8,000.00 per month/per stall 2.7 Stall No. 30 (Backpackers' Inn) 6,000.00 per month/per stall 2.8 Portable Stalls, per square meter 50.00 per day/square meter 2.9 Ambulant Vendors 10.00 per day Parking/Entrance fee of all private/government vehicles, per parking/entry: 5.1 First 2 hours 25.00 per vehicle Succeeding hour or fraction thereof 10.00 5.2 24 hours parking 150.00 per vehicle 5.3 Single Motorcycle 10.00 per vehicle" SECTION 2. Repealing Clause. - All other city ordinances or parts thereof bearing similar provisions inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed and/or modified accordingly. SECTION 3. Effectivity. - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
