ORDINANCE NO: 2015-352 (Sponsored by: Committee on Ways and Means) "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND POSTING OF CITY GOVERNMENT BUSINESS LICENSE PLATES IN ALL COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN" Be It Ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (11th City Council) of the City of Pagadian in session assembled that: SECTION 1. Coverage and Application. - All commercial and/or industrial establishments operating within the territorial jurisdiction of the City of Pagadian shall be required to secure Business License Plates. SECTION 2. Manner and Time of Issuance; Office Responsible. - a) The Permits and License Division in the Office of the City Mayor shall take charge in the issuance of these plates as herein specified, viz: New Business Entities: Upon the start of its business operations, a Business License Plate shall be issued together with the Business Permit; Existing Establishments. The Business License Plate shall be issued to any and all of the existing businesses upon renewal of their respective Business Permits. b) Every establishment shall only be issued one License Plate with reference to Business Permit approved by the Office of the City Mayor. SECTION 3. Fee. - The amount of Three Hundred (P300.00) Pesos shall be collected and/or paid to the Office of the City Treasurer as fee for each Business License Plate that shall be issued to cover the cost of production. SECTION 4. Business Plate Numbers; Size and Identifiable Markings. - The Business License Plate for the City of Pagadian shall be identifiable by the following distinct dimension, features and markings, to wit: Size: horizontal measurement-fifteen inches (15 inches); vertical measurement-five & one-half inches (5.5 inches); Markings & Features: Official Logo of Pagadian City; Business Plate Number (embossed); and current year sticker. SECTION 5. Posting and Display. - Business License Plates must be prominently posted and conspicuously displayed at the entrance of every establishment. SECTION 6. Repealing Clause. - All previous Ordinances inconsistent with this Ordinance is hereby repealed and or modified accordingly. SECTION 7. - EFFECTIVITY - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
