ORDINANCE NO: 2002-219 "AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF INFORMATION OFFICER IV, SG-22, IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MAYOR, CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN, AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREFOR." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE 7TH CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PAGADIAN IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT: SECTION 1. CREATION. There is hereby created and incorporated in the Plantilla of Personnel in the Office of the City Mayor, City Government of Pagadian, the position of Information Officer IV, SG-22; SECTION 2. PURPOSE. The creation of the above-position is imperative in order to centralize the dissemination and gathering of information, as well as, to complement the existing workforce in the Office of the City Mayor; SECTION 3. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ATTACHED TO THE POSITION. Subject to the compliance of the pertinent rules and regulations on personnel administration and other Qualifications Standard set by the Civil Service Law, the would-be appointee of the above-created position shall discharge the following specific duties and functions, to wit: Handles the dissemination of reports and information/developmental activities of the Office of the City Mayor in consultation with the Chief Executive; Maintain data-bank of socio-economic profile of the City for public information purposes; Takes charge of accomplishing informative or instructional materials and select medium of communication for dissemination; Furnish information to other offices if required; and; Perform other related tasks as may be assigned. SECTION 4. FUNDING. For this purpose, the above-created position shall be accordingly incorporated with the corresponding appropriations for the salaries and such other benefits appended to the position in the Annual Budget of the City Government of Pagadian for calendar year 2003 chargeable against appropriate fund sources; SECTION 5. EFFECTIVITY. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval. ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (7th City Council) of Pagadian City on its 65th Regular Session held on January 8, 2003 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
