ORDINANCE NO: 2000-186 "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF FEES IN THE UTILIZATION OF THE FREEZER IN THE VETERINARY SERVICES DIVISION FOR STORAGE PURPOSES" WHEREAS, the Veterinary Services and Slaughterhouse Management Division in its official task of regulating the City Abattoir is an income generating office of the City Government. WHEREAS, the income in the daily operation of the facility is generated through the collection of fees from slaughtered carcasses on a per capita basis; WHEREAS, the City Government through the efforts of some concerned officials has acquired one (1) unit freezer for the preservation and storage of slaughtered carcasses; WHEREAS, in order to help adequately and efficiently maintain the facilities of the City Abattoir it is necessary to collect fees for the usage of the freezer; NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it ORDAINED, as it is hereby ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled that: Section 1. - This Ordinance is hereby enacted for the purpose of collecting additional revenues for the City of Pagadian, and which revenues shall be specifically disbursed to defray expenditures for electric consumption as well as other incidental expenses in the operation and maintenance of the said freezer. Section 2. - The following fees shall be provided for and collected regardless of the kind of carcasses/meat to be preserved/stored. FOR THE 1st 24 HOURS OR A FRACTION THEREOF A. P 30.00/Head (e.g. Pigs, Goats and the like) P 50.00/Head (Large cattles e.g. Cow. Carabao, Horse and the like) FOR THE SUCCEEDING 24 HOURS B. P100.00/Head (e.g. Pigs, Goats and the like) P150.00/Head (Large cattles e.g. Cow, Carabao, Horse and the like) Section 3. - The Collection Officer of the Market Division shall collect the fees and issue receipts in the collection thereof for accounting and auditing purposes. Section 4. - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
