ORDINANCE NO: 2000-182


"AN ORDINANCE NAMING A STREET IN BARANGAY SANTO NINO, JUNCTION CONSOLACION STREET AND BANALE ROAD, AS GOVERNOR BIENVENIDO A. EBARLE STREET"

	WHEREAS, the late Governor Bienvenido Ebarle served as the Governor of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur from 1955 to 1962 and 1969 to 1971, as a distinguished member of the Batasang Pambansa representing the Province of Zamboanga del Sur, and as a Judge of the Regional Trial Court;

	WHEREAS, his selfless dedication to public service, has contributed much to the growth of Pagadian City and Zamboanga del Sur;

	WHEREAS, his legacy deserves to be commemorated and as such, a city street in Pagadian should be named in his honor;

	WHEREAS, an unnamed street in Barangay Santo Nino, junction Consolacion and Banale Road, was chosen to be named as Governor Bienvenido A. Ebarle Street;

	NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it

	Be it Ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City in session assembled that:

	Section 1. - That the unnamed street in Barangay Santo Nino, junction Consolacion Street and Banale Road be named as "Governor Bienvenido A. Ebarle Street".

	Section 2.  - That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.

ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (6th City Council) of Pagadian City on its 94th Regular Session held on May 31, 2000 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
