OF 1990, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PERSON/S FROM LETTING LOOSE OR TYING THEIR ANIMALS IN PUBLIC PREMISES AND OTHER PLACES IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF

ORDINANCE NO: 1999-165


"AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 3, S. OF 1973, AS AMENDED BY CITY ORDINANCE NO. 71, S. OF 1990, ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PERSON/S FROM LETTING LOOSE OR TYING THEIR ANIMALS IN PUBLIC PREMISES AND OTHER PLACES IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"


Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City that:


	SECTION 1. Section 3 of the Ordinance No. 3, series of 1973, as amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 71, series of 1990, is hereby further amended to be read as follows:

"SECTION 3. Any person who violates the provision of the this ordinance shall, in addition to the civil liabilities that maybe imposed on him, he shall be fined according to the following: 

for astray horses, cows and carabaos	-	a fine of Five Hundred 
			(P500.00) Pesos;
for astray goats and pigs	-	a  fine of Four Hundred
			(P400.00) Pesos
for astray dogs	-	a fine of Three Hundred
			(P300.00) Pesos
for astray cats	-	a fine of One Hundred
			(P100.00) Pesos
other animals	-	a fine of One Hundred
			(P100.00) Pesos
 
or be imprisoned for not more than 30 days, or both at the discretion of the court."


	SECTION 2. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 71, s. of 1990, is hereby amended to be read as follows:

"SECTION 2. Astray animals and/or involved in the violation of this ordinance shall be impounded under the responsibility of the City Government until after the owner shall have settled the fine and the payment of Impoundment Fee to the City Treasurer or duly authorized representative in the amount of ONE HUNDRED (P100.00) PESOS per day of impoundment and same shall be subject to our disposition in case of the failure of the owner to claim and/or settle the above mentioned obligations, after three days of impoundment."


	SECTION 3. Any ordinance or provision hereof inconsistent with the above amendments and insertion is hereby repealed and amended.

SECTION 4.	This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.


ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (6th City Council) of Pagadian City on its 51st Regular Session held on July 14, 1999 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
