ORDINANCE NO: 1999-157 AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A LIAISON OFFICE OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PAGADIAN IN METRO MANILA AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR. Be it Ordained by this Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled that: SECTION 1. There shall be created and established a Liaison Office for the City Government of Pagadian in Metro Manila to represent the general interests of the City at the national level and which shall be under the Office of the City Mayor. SECTION 2. It shall be the primary duties and functions of the Liaison Office to: 2.1 Establish and maintain linkages with national government agencies and other government instrumentalities as well as non-government organizations at the national level; 2.2 Follow up the various needs and requirements of the City government at the national level; 2.3 Represent the City government at the national level from time to time whenever so required; 2.4 Assist City Officials as well as residents of the City in their various business transactions at the national level; 2.5 Help promote the interests of the City at the national level; 2.6 Perform other functions and duties that may be so required from time to time; SECTION 3. The Liaison Office shall be managed and administered by the following personnel whose positions shall be created and funded for the purpose: Four (4) Executive Assistants One (1) Executive Assistant IV One (1) Executive Assistant III One (1) Executive Assistant II One (1) Executive Assistant I One (1) Clerk-Typist One (1) Driver I-Messenger 3.4 One (1) Utility Worker I SECTION 4. The City Chief Executive shall be authorized to establish, acquire and/or lease in a manner required by law a space/building in the area of Metro Manila for the liaison office and to likewise acquire the necessary office equipments, furnitures and fixtures, supplies and office implements as well as service vehicle for the efficient operation of the Office. SECTION 5. There shall be appropriated separate funds for the maintenance, operation and other expenditures of the Liaison Office in Metro Manila. SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
