Official street name: Governor J. A. Ariosa Street
Ordinance No. 1998-150 changed and/or renamed Andres Bonifacio Street, including the portions traversing Santiago District, San Francisco District, and the extension to San Jose District, to Governor J. A. Ariosa Street.

"AN ORDINANCE CHANGING AND/OR RENAMING ANDRES BONIFACIO STREET TO GOVERNOR J. A. ARIOSA STREET IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN"
Be it Ordained by the 6th Sangguniang Panlungsod, this City, in session assembled, that:
Section 1. - This Ordinance is hereby enacted in order to change and/or rename a certain street in the City, without prejudice to the traditional respect accorded to national personalities, so as to duly give credence to the late Javier A. Ariosa, one of the past Governors of the Province of Zamboanga del Sur whose leadership and administration significantly contributed to the socio-economic well-being and cultural development of the inhabitants of the city.
Section 2. - For purposes of this Ordinance, Andres Bonifacio Street comprising the whole length traversing Santiago District, San Francisco District, as well as the extension thereof to San Jose District shall be changed and/or renamed to Governor J. A. Ariosa Street in honor of the late Governor Mano Javier A. Ariosa of Zamboanga del Sur.
Section 3. - The Office of the President, the Representative of the 1st Congressional District, the National Historical Institute and the local Philippine Postal Corporation branch shall be duly notified of such change in the street name by way of copies of this Ordinance as mandated under R.A. 7160.
Section 4. - This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval by unanimous vote.
