ORDINANCE NO: 1997-139 (Bill No. 0034) "AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING CITY ORDINANCE NO. 61, S. 1989, MORE PARTICULARLY SECTION 2 AND 3 OF ARTICLE 8 THEREOF" BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF THE CITY OF PAGADIAN IN SPECIAL SESSION ASSEMBLED, THAT: SECTION 1. This Ordinance is hereby enacted for the purpose of amending Sections 2 and 3, Article 8 of City Ordinance No. 61, s. 1989, to read as follows: "ARTICLE 8 - Fares for Tricycles SECTION 2. - The fare rate of Two Pesos and Fifty Centavos (P2.50) shall be the new rate of fare for Motorized Tricycles for-hire (MTH) in the City for the first kilometer of travel with an additional of Fifty Centavos (P0.50) per kilometer thereafter. SECTION 3. - Students from all levels, disabled persons and members of the Senior Citizens shall be accorded at all times the privilege of paying only the fare rate of Two (P2.00) Pesos when commuting within the City proper and/or within the urban barangays of the city. In addition thereto, there shall be a Fifty (0.50) Centavos privilege discount to the herein referred group of commuters when commuting to rural areas." SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval and publications in a local newspaper of general circulation. ENACTED AND APPROVED by the 5th City Council of Pagadian City during its 88th Regular Session held on March 14, 1997 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall.
