ORDINANCE NO: 1994-125 "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE MARKET SCREENING AND AWARDING COMMITTEE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 2, ARTICLE III, OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 78, S. 1992" WHEREAS, the absence of a duly constituted membership of the Market Screening and Awarding Committee, as provided for in City Ordinance No. 78, s. 1992, whose primary function is to conduct the screening of applicants and awarding of stalls in connection with the adjudication of vacant and/or newly constructed stalls or booths in the Public Markets of the City has caused the delay in the processing of applications, adjudication and awarding of market stalls, confusion among applicants, and loss of revenue to the City Government; NOW, THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City hereby ordains: SECTION 1. COMPOSITION. The Market Screening and Awarding Committee as provided for in Section 2, Article III, of City Ordinance No. 78, s. 1992 is hereby composed as follows: Chairman: The City Mayor or his duly authorized representative. Members: The Chairman, Committee on Ways & Means, Sangguniang Panlungsod The City Treasurer or his duly authorized representative The City Legal Officer or his duly authorized representative The Economic Enterprise Management Officer or his duly authorized representative NGO Representatives for Market Affairs Representative of the Market Vendors Association SECTION 2. POWERS, DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS. The Committee shall convene as the need arises to conduct the screening of applicants, the awarding of stalls in connection with the adjudication of vacant and/or newly constructed stalls or booths in the public markets and, shall certify to the results thereof. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval. ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Pagadian City on its 26th Regular Session held on June 27, 1994.
