CITY ORDINANCE NO. 41
"AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE BARANGAY OF SANTO NI�O IN THE CITY OF PAGADIAN"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. - The Puroks of Sandayong, Mangga, Ferdinand, Quezon, Roxas, Aguinaldo, Mabini, Bonifacio, Magsaysay, Garcia, Pag-asa, Rizal, Capitol Creek, and Do�a Aurora, all within the City of Pagadian, are hereby separated from Balangasan District, and constituted into distinct and independent barangay in the same city to be known as Barangay Santo Ni�o without affecting in any manner the legal existence of the mother barangay of Balangasan District.
SECTION 2. The boundaries of the new Barangay of Santo Ni�o will be:
Beginning Northeast by Duterte Street "San Jose District"
Southeast by Arellano Street "Balangasan District"
Southwest by Balangasan River "Balangasan District"
Northwest by Lot No. 4869, "Barangay Banale"
Estimated area of the new Barangay of Santo Ni�o is 213,500 square meters.
SECTION 3. After ratification by majority vote casts in a plebiscite conducted in the area affected within a period of sixty (60) days after the approval of this Ordinance, the City Mayor shall appoint the Barangay Captain and other officials of the new Barangay of Santo Ni�o.
SECTION 4. The new Barangay of Santo Ni�o shall immediately begin to exist upon the appointment and qualification of the Barangay Captain and a majority of the Barangay Councilmen.
SECTION 5. Upon the effectivity of this Ordinance, the proportionate share of the new Barangay of Santo Ni�o in the obligation, funds, assets, and other property of Balangasan District shall be transferred to the newly created barangay.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
ENACTED AND APPROVED by the Sangguniang Panlungsod during its 31st Regular Session on August 13, 1984.
