ORDINANCE NO. 3
"AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING APPLICANTS FOR MARRIAGE LICENSE TO ATTEND A SEMINAR OR LECTURES ON FAMILY PLANNING AS A PREREQUISITE TO THE ISSUANCE OF SAID MARRIAGE LICENSE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. All applicants for Marriage License are hereby required to attend seminar or lectures on Family Planning conducted by persons duly authorized by the Government before applying for a Marriage License.
SECTION 2. Certificate of attendance by the Government authorized lecturers must be presented as a prerequisite to the issuance of a Marriage License.
SECTION 3. The City Treasurer or his agents are hereby prohibited to issue Marriage License if Section 1 and 2 of this Ordinance are not complied with.
SECTION 4. Any violation of the provisions of this Ordinance by the person in-charge of the issuance of the marriage license or his/her duly authorized representative shall be a ground for his/her dismissal from the government service.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
ENACTED AND APPROVED by the City Board of Pagadian, during its 12th Regular Session on March 18, 1974 at the Session Hall.
