ORDINANCE NO. 1
"AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE NO. 19, SERIES OF 1973, ESTABLISHING A CITY PARKING LOT WITHIN THE PREMISES OF THE OLD PUBLIC MARKET SITE WHERE ALL PASSENGER JEEPS, TRUCKS AND BUSES SHALL CONVERGE AND PARK FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING PURPOSES AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE PROVISION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. A City parking lot which was located within the premises of the Old Market site in the City of Pagadian has ceased to be a source of revenues for the City coffers.
SECTION 2. All passenger jeepney, bus and truck operators shall construct their own bus terminal or establish private parking lots for their loading and unloading purposes.
SECTION 3. All bus terminals or private parking lots obtained should not be situated along the National Highway in the City of Pagadian.
SECTION 4. Any driver and/or in a proper case, the operators who will be convicted for the violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or suffer imprisonment of not less than twenty (20) days or both fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 5. Any existing ordinance or part thereof whose provisions are inconsistent or contrary to this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
ENACTED AND APPROVED by the City Board of Pagadian, during its 2nd Regular Session on January 9, 1974 at the Session Hall, Pagadian City.
