ORDINANCE NO. 33
"AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING NEW PARKING PLACES FOR ALL PASSENGER MOTOR VEHICLES AND IMPOSING INSPECTION FEES AND PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. All passenger land transportation bound for Dumalinao, Balongating, Bugwak, Dinas and San Miguel shall be parked at Baltazar Street between Ramon Magsaysay Avenue and Jamisola Street.
SECTION 2. ALL EAST BOUND passenger buses, non-stop buses, jeeps and jeepneys for Labangan, Tukuran, Aurora, Ozamis City route, Iligan City and Cagayan De Oro City route shall be parked at San Pedro District, this City, at the junction of the road leading to the Public Market, daily, from 6:00 o' clock in the morning up to 5:00 o' clock in the afternoon, and each route shall be subjected to thirty (30) minutes interval before the scheduled time for departure.
SECTION 3. All jeeps and jeepneys bound for Dao, Bogo, Kagawasan, Danlugan, Tulangan and Macasing, this City, shall be parked at Baltazar Street in front of Sampaguita Bakery everyday, and shall be subject to the FIRST-IN FIRST-OUT departure system.
SECTION 4. ALL EAST BOUND passenger buses, non-stop buses, and jeeps for Ozamis City route, Iligan City and Cagayan De Oro Cities route shall be parked at the Northern Side of the Old Public Market, National Highway, every night time, beginning from 6:00 o' clock in the evening up to 5:00 o' clock in the morning, and each route shall be subjected to thirty (30) minutes interval before the scheduled time for departure.
SECTION 5. All land transportation operators having their own private terminal shall be required to secure a permit from the City Mayor, and to pay the required terminal fee as provided for under Section 6 hereof, and shall not allow to park in their private terminals any other lines and/or land transportation accepting passengers in this City, and not to be subject to the thirty (30) minutes parking time but shall be required to submit its time schedule to the nearest Police Station. Any change of their schedule shall be reported one (1) week before their commencement.
SECTION 6. All land transportation operators shall pay the following fees, as contemplated in Section 5 hereof:
PER ANNUM
a. Mayor's Permit P60.00
b. Terminal Fee:
1. For the First 3 Units or less 30.00
2. For more than 3 Units 60.00
SECTION 7. It shall be unlawful for any operator, driver or any person to park passenger buses or jeeps at a place other than the parking places herein provided. Non-stop buses operators must provide their own terminal parking area located in a private lot, otherwise they shall park their vehicles as herein provided after paying the required fees prescribed in Section 6 hereof.
SECTION 8. All passenger land transportation operators shall pay the following inspection fees:
PER DEPARTURE
a. Per Bus P2.00
b. Per Isuzu Jeep (double tire) 1.50
c. Per Isuzu Jeep (single tire) 1.00
d. Per Jeep 0.80
e. Per land transportation mentioned in Sections 1 & 3 0.30
SECTION 9. Any driver and/or proprietor of passenger land transportation convicted for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Twenty-Five (P25.00) Pesos but not more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than ten (10) days but not more than twenty (20) days or both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 10. Ordinance No. 30, s. 1970 or any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 11. This Ordinance shall take effect three (3) days after its posting at the different bulletin boards.
