ORDINANCE NO. 23
"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING ANY OPERATOR AND/OR PROPRIETOR OF CINE THEATERS, VAUDAVILLES, BOXING, OPERAS, CONCERTS, RECITALS AND DRAMAS TO USE TICKETS FOR ADMISSION OTHER THAN THOSE REGISTERED BY THE CITY TREASURER OF PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. It is hereby prohibited for any operator and/or proprietor of cine theaters, vaudavilles, boxing, operas, concerts, recitals and dramas to use tickets for admission other than those registered by the City Treasurer of Pagadian City;
SECTION 2. All tickets, rolled or pad, to be used for admission shall be printed at the expense of the operator and/or proprietor which shall be registered at least one (1) week before using the tickets for admission.
SECTION 3. There shall be a TICKET BOX to be constructed at the expense of the operator and/or proprietor having two (2) compartments, one is for the establishment and other is for the City Government. Each compartment has its corresponding key or pad lock. Three sides of the ticket box shall be walled either by lumber or plywood while the fourth side shall be walled by clear glass.
SECTION 4. It shall be the duty of the operator and/or proprietor to notify in writing the City Treasurer on the date for proper disposition of the used tickets in a manner agreed to by the parties thereat.
SECTION 5. The City Treasurer shall keep on records all tickets used and unused, according to existing regulations.
SECTION 6. The City Treasurer or his authorized representative shall have the power to make an ocular inspection on the premises where the business is conducted and to open the compartment of the ticket box at any day during business hours.
SECTION 7. Any operator or proprietor convicted for violation of this ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than fifty (P50.00) pesos but not more than one hundred (P100.00) pesos or an imprisonment of not less than twenty (20) days but not more than forty (40) days or both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the court.
SECTION 8. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
