"AN ORDINANCE DECLARING UNLAWFUL OR ILLEGAL THE ORGANIZATION AND/OR PRACTICE OF THE "BUAYA OR DISPATCHERS" SYSTEM IN ALL TRANSPORTATION BUSINESS WHETHER LAND, WATER OR AIR, AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. Definition of "Buaya or Dispatchers" System - The Buaya or Dispatchers System is a practice by which a person and/or corporation for some pecuniary interest, solicit passengers and/or cargoes for any transportation business.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful and illegal for any person and/or corporation to solicit passengers and/or cargoes, or to operate any buaya or dispatcher system in the City of Pagadian for any land, air or water transportation whether for a fee or otherwise.
SECTION 3. Any person and/or corporation convicted by the Court for violating Section 2, hereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty-Five (P25.00) Pesos but not more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or by an imprisonment of not less than ten (10) days but not more than thirty (30) days or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
ENACTED by the City Board of Pagadian during its Regular Session on April 6, 1970.
