ORDINANCE NO. 14
"AN ORDINANCE FIXING PASSENGER PAYMENTS OF MOTOR CABS WITHIN THE POBLACION AND SUBURBAN OF THE CITY OF PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY BOARD OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following are the lawful passenger payment rates on motor cabs within the poblacion and suburbans of Pagadian:
RATES POINT OF DEPARTURE AND DESTINATION
P0.10 From Balangasan to any intersection of the National Highway and vice versa.
10. From Santa Lucia to any intersection of the National Highway and vice versa.
0.10 From Santiago to any point of the wharf area and to any intersection of the National Highway and vice versa.
10. From San Pedro to Santa Lucia and vice versa.
10. From San Pedro to any point of the Wharf area and to any intersection of the National Highway and vice versa.
10. From PC Camp to any intersection of the National Highway and vice versa.
10. From Capitol Building, Saint Columban, HCA, City Hall, Central Office, PJC, SMC Main, to any place of the Poblacion except San Pedro and PC Camp.
10. From San Jose to Santa Lucia, Balangasan, Santiago and Wharf area.
15. Any intersection and/or corners of the City streets running upward traversing and/or intersecting the National Highway-Jamisola Street to the City Hall, Central School, HCA, PJC, and Saint Columban.
15. From Capitol Building, Saint Columban, HCA, PJC, Central School, SMC Main, to San Pedro District and PC Camp.
15. From Balangasan to Capitol.
15. From PC Camp to Balangasan, vice versa.
15. From PC Camp to Santa Lucia, Wharf Area, Santiago and San Pedro, vice versa.
15. From San Jose, Provincial Jail to San Pedro District.
20. From Balangasan to City Hall and nearby schools.
20. From Santa Lucia to City Hall and nearby schools.
20. From Wharf area to City Hall and nearby schools.
20. From any intersection of the National Highway to the Capitol Building.
20. From Santiago to Capitol Building.
20. From San Pedro to City Hall.
20. From PC Camp to City Hall.
20. From Wharf area, San Pedro, PC Camp to the Capitol Building.
25. From Wharf area, San Pedro, PC Camp to the Capitol building.
0.25 From Balangasan, Santa Lucia, Santiago, San Pedro, PC Camp to the Provincial Jail.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any motor cab driver to demand or collect passenger payment exceeding the rates prescribed or fixed in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. Any motor cab driver convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Ten (P10.00) Pesos but not more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or shall suffer an imprisonment of not less than ten (10) days but not more than fifty (50) days or both, such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court. In case of insolvency, a subsidiary imprisonment shall be imposed.
SECTION 4. Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
ENACTED by the City Board of Pagadian during its Regular Session on March 24, 1970.
