ORDINANCE NO. 9
"AN ORDINANCE FIXING PASSENGERS PAYMENTS ON MOTOR CABS WITHIN THE POBLACION AND SUBURBAN OF PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following are the lawful passenger payment rates on motor cabs within the poblacion and suburbans of Pagadian:
RATE DESTINATION
P0.10 From the National Highway (crossing) to Municipal Building
20. From National Highway (crossing) to Capitol Building
20. From PC to Municipal Building
20. From Wharf to Municipal Building
0.10 From San Pedro District to Wharf or National Highway(crossing)
10. From Sta. Lucia to National Highway (crossing)
10. From Balangasan to National Highway (crossing)
10. From Capitol Building to any place in the poblacion
10. From PC to National Highway (crossing)
20. From National Highway (crossing) to SMC Main Building
0.10 From SMC Main Building to any place within the poblacion
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any motor cab driver to demand or collect passenger payment exceeding the rate prescribed or fixed in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. Any motor cab driver convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Ten (P10.00) Pesos nor more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or shall suffer an imprisonment of not less than ten (10) days nor more than fifty (50) days or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court. In case of insolvency, a subsidiary imprisonment shall be imposed.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect on February 21, 1968.
