ORDINANCE NO. 3
"AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS ON THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF COCKPITS WITHIN PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. No cockpit shall be established within the poblacion of Pagadian.
For purposes of this Ordinance, poblacion is comprised within the following boundaries:
North - San Jose District; G. Prieto Street
South - The Sea
East - Bulatok river adjacent to the PC Camp
West - Balangasan Bridge following the Capitol
SECTION 2. No two (2) cockpits shall be established five (5) kilometers from one cockpit to another.
SECTION 3. No cockpit shall be established within the radius of One Hundred (100) meters from any school, church, public building and hospital.
SECTION 4. Any ordinance or part thereof, inconsistent to any provision of this Ordinance is hereby deemed amended, repealed or abrogated.
SECTION 5. Any person convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or shall suffer an imprisonment from two (2) months to six (6) months or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect immediately today, January 2, 1968.
